Our Origin Story
Nerdie Girl began as a passion project and side hustle by Tracy Cook, the original Nerdie Girl. Growing up, Tracy searched for a place where she could truly belong as a female gamer, anime fan, and all-around fandom enthusiast. Nerdie Girl is that place — a home for every girl who embraces her love of fandom culture and wants to express it in style.
Meet Tracy Cook:
The Original Nerdie Girl
From watching anime in the ’90s to cosplaying at Comic Con, Tracy has always lived and breathed nerd culture. Gaming was a childhood passion that never faded, whether it was open-world role-playing games, Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, or even serving as Game Master for Tails of Equestria.
Board games and video games became a shared hobby with her husband, Kyle, while Saturday morning anime remains a family tradition.
After earning her MBA in Marketing, Tracy built her career in nonprofit marketing before founding Blue Beam Marketing, where she became owner and CEO of a successful digital agency. But her heart never left the world of fandom. Nerdie Girl was born from her dream to create a fun, welcoming online store where female gamers, anime lovers, and collectors could shop, discover, and connect.
